On Sunday, May 8, we officially began the search for a new Incumbent (priest) with the election of our Parish Selection Committee. Visit this page regularly for updates and information on our process.
Report from the Parish Selection Committee on Aug 28, 2016:
We are continuing to work on the Parish Profile document and are making good progress. The next step in information gathering is the all parish survey.
Surveys were hand delivered or mailed to non-emailers on Aug 29.
The web version was launched on September 1st and will be available until the 18th. It has been advertised in the What’s Going On, warden announcements and the weekly e-news.
On Sept 11, we will have an information table for informal Q & A.
On Sept 14, the seniors are having a special event for Q & A and any other assistance they require.
Jennifer Cameron is to be given names of any parishioners who might need extra assistance either over the phone or in person, to complete the survey.
Extra copies of the survey are available at the office and in the narthex and identified bins are available for the hand copy returns.
On October 16, immediately following the 10 am service, there will be a Town Hall Workshop. Tentative time frame is 11:30 – 2:30. A light lunch, organized by the Hospitality Team, will be served. Child care will be provided. Tentative format to include a summary presentation of highlights of the survey and focus group discussions. Children and youth will have lunch and a separate discussion time to ensure we get their input as well. Following the Town Hall, we will finalize the Parish Profile document which will be submitted to the Bishop for approval. Once approved, it will be released publicly. Potential candidates will submit their names to the Bishop. The Bishop will then meet with the Parish Selection Committee to present names of candidates for consideration.
