WALKING TOGETHER – APRIL 9
Sermon delivered by the Very Reverend James Merrett
(Due to technical difficulties, we do not have a recording of the sermon from Sunday, April 9. We do, however have some notes that were shared on Twitter.)
This week, we have to walk together. In more circles, drawing in more stories and bringing them together to the cross.
Jesus embraces the suffering of the world. He held on to it. He carried it to the cross. He transformed it into something new.
We could react with fight, flight, or despair. But that is not what Jesus did.
As we walk, we gather the stories of the people of the world. Melting ice. Sarin gas. Hunger. What do we do with the stories?
When we walked in a circle in our neighbourhood this morning, we were telling our story of God to the world.
