What’s Going On – 19 March

Thanks For The Best Pancake Supper In Town

On Shrove Tuesday, February 28th, we had a superb supper of pancakes, sausages, and sweets. The fellowship that was shared by all was palpable. This evening was made possible by the over 30 volunteers who cooked sausages at home, cooked huge numbers of pancakes, set up and decorated the auditorium, sold tickets at the door, maitre d’ed, fed the scouts, served the meals including sweets and drinks, and finally those who cleaned up. And let us not forget the delightful Scouts that bussed the tables.
We want to extend our thanks to all of these wonderful people who made this event such a success!

What’s Needed

All Saints Sherbourne – Clothing and toiletry donations for All Saints Sherbourne are needed. Please leave donations in the large red at the top of the east stairs.  Questions?  Please call Claire Bergeron 416-233-4795

Food Cupboard – Donations of non-perishable food are needed for the food cupboard.  Items that don’t require cooking are always helpful as people who use the food cupboard do not necessarily have a place to cook.  Easy open cans ie those that don’t require a can opener are also useful.  Canned fish, such as tuna, and vegetables without added sugar are also in demand.

“Hold the Date”

Our neighbours across the road are singing for Stonegate Ministry! Sunday April 9th,  The Kingsway Conservatory of Music, along with special guest, Juno award-winning Billy Newton-Davis (of ‘Nylons’ fame) are presenting a concert at Kingsway Lambton United Church at 2PM. Come, enjoy the music, followed by refreshments, and support both the Conservatory and Stonegate Ministry.
Tickets are $10 each (children 12 and under admitted free) and will be available at the door on the day of the concert.
This is a fundraiser concert for Stonegate Ministry! In addition to the admission cost, there will be an opportunity, during the program, to make a receipted ($20 or more) donation to Stonegate Ministry.   For further information, please contact [email protected]
See you there!  Helen Skippon
