To be a success, we need lots of volunteers.  There is a wide variety of tasks including setting up the dining area, making the pancakes, serving, and clean-up.  In addition, we need people to cook sausages at home and bring them in the afternoon to the church. We supply the sausages and cooking pans.

What We Need to Know

Looking to our Leadership Future

At the March 5th Vestry meeting, we will be determining who will be wardens for 2017-18.  As we are in transition, the Bishop recommends that the two senior wardens, Ross Elver – People’s Warden and Jean Woolford – Rector’s Warden remain in their roles until a new incumbent is in place. We thank the current Deputy Wardens, Penny Oliver and Larry Davey, who will be stepping away from their positions.

To assist James and the current Wardens, a Nominating Committee has been appointed. They will be contacting parishioners for the role of Deputy Rector’s Warden, an appointed position, and Deputy People’s Warden, an elected position.
If anyone is interested in more information about being a Deputy Warden, please contact Gerry Glinski, email: marger[email protected] phone: 905.823.9345

Intention Cards 2017

We thank all of you who have sent in your intention cards for 2017, and it’s not too late if you still want to send it in. Please place on the offertory plate, or you can send it in to the office via the mail.  If you need more information, please see one of the Wardens, or sidepersons for assistance.

Thank you for your continued support.    The Wardens.

Update on the Hamad Family

Everything is going well for the Hamad family.  Their son won the Student of the Month award for his class and he was told that he didn’t need to attend the English as a Second Language (ESL) classes any more.  Both his sisters are also doing very well in school.  Both of the parents have graduated to the next level in their ESL programs.

We have put together a team for lead by Marge Watters Knebel for finding meaningful employment for the parents and the first discussions with the parents happened this week.  Hopefully, we can help the parents secure employment that will allow them to, at least, maintain the living standard we have provided.
Thank you to those of you who have donated to the skate fund for the family.  The parents felt that it would be better to wait until this fall to buy the skates since two of their children are still growing and there isn’t (we hope) that much left of this winter.  So, next fall we will buy the skates.

Archive Display

Get in touch with our roots! Check out the new display in the archives cabinet, which focuses on the building of the original church. See the development of this plot of land, from frame house to building site to completed church. The images are a testament to the faith of the parishioners who started this parish.

Our Parish Profile is in the Library

There are several copies of the All Saints Kingsway Parish Profile available to be borrowed from our church library. This is the document you all had the opportunity to contribute to and the one that potential incumbent candidates will read to learn about us. If you haven’t seen it online, borrow it now and enjoy.
